DS-386 In-Circuit Emulator

CEIBO DS-386 is a real time In-Circuit Emulator dedicated to the Intel 386 family of microprocessors. The DS-386 system communicates with the host PC and personality probes to support the real-time emulation of the Intel 386(TM)CX/EX/SX.
DS-386 adapts to various derivatives of Intel¦s 80386 family by simply replacing the personality probe. The emulator system is serially linked to the host PC via one RS-232 communications port. The baud rate is programmable from 9600 to 115 KBaud. The memory can be mapped in boundaries of 8 KBytes. The emulation speed is limited by the maximum frequency of the standard Intel microprocessor installed in the personality probe to a maximum of 33 MHz.
Five complex hardware breakpoints may be set and are qualified by instruction fetch, execution, data contents, read/write from/to memory and I/O, external events and user defined ranges. Most compilers and assemblers are supported, and the generated files are converted by DS-386 to absolute executable format.
DS-386 software includes a set of Macro routines that may be used in testing or production environments without using the debugger and with minimum hardware requirements from the host computer. The software includes a state of the are source level debugger designed to support embedded systems applications.
